Parents, you’ve been there—out and about when either you or one of your kiddos has to use the restroom. What a pain, right? Bulky diaper bags and small, squirmy children do not go well with public bathroom stalls. They barely fit.
If you’ve got your baby in a carrier of some sort, instead of a stroller, there’s even more challenge. Maybe one of your kids is potty training? Lucky you! Unless you brought your own seat adapter or have landed one of those great bathrooms with a child-size toilet, you get the added fun of helping your tiny child hover over a scary gaping water-filled hole that looks like it could swallow little people—and who knows when it was last cleaned?
Bit by bit, things are changing. Here are some ways businesses and entrepreneurs are trying to help parents have a less stressful public bathroom experience. What do you think? Are things looking up? Hopefully you’ll start seeing more of these family-friendly innovations cropping up in your local businesses’ bathrooms!
