Now what’s the point of having that newly remodeled bathroom if it’s just going to get all dirty again? Bathroom cleaning can be a chore, but it doesn’t have to be. In fact, there are little things you can do right now that will really make a difference.
If you have those hard water streaks in a toilet, try this: put a cup of white vinegar in the bowl and let it sit over night. Dropping a denture cleaning tablet in there also helps.
Now, you don’t want your bathroom smelling like salad dressing all day, so do this: Use a freshly cut lemon on porcelain to remove the gunk. All you do is scrub it around and rinse with clean water.
Tile and walls seem to be a magnet for tough cleaning, so here’s one that the folks at RealSimple suggest: Spray everything down with an all purpose cleaner, and then crank up the shower and steam the room. Turn the water off after 5 minutes, shut the door and let the room sit in the steam for 20 minutes or so. This will do a magical job of loosening the grime and wiping down with a clean cloth will usually do the trick.
In the end, keeping your bathroom looking great is a matter of great storage, too. When you remodel your bathroom, be sure to have plenty of room to store your stuff. When the bathroom is clean, everybody feels much cleaner coming out.
